Cake Decorating Club Interview with Mrs. Susan Wallace

1. Can you tell me about your club?

The club teaches students how to bake and decorate cakes. They will also be learning special icing techniques like flowering and making figures out of fondant. They also learn recipes for different kinds of cakes and icings.

2. How many students are in this club?

Mrs. Wallace says there are currently 43 members in her club.

3. What is the goal of the club?

The goal of the club is too have students be able to bake and decorate a cake they are proud of. A long term goal that Mrs. Wallace has is for students to participate in the club for multiple years of their high school career so they can become more and more advanced.

4. Why should students join your club?

Mrs. Wallace was very honest with the answer to this question, saying that a student should only join if cake decorating was in their taste. She says to follow your heart, so it is a bad decision to do something you don’t enjoy.
